Born June 14, 1894, in Fort William, Ontario, was Hockey Hall of Fame Center Jack Adams. Adams played in the NHL with the Vancouver Arenas, Vancouver Millionaires, Toronto St. Patricks, and the Ottawa Senators for eleven seasons spanning from 1917 through 1927. Jack was later the coach / GM of the Detroit Red Wings. His coaching held the record of winningest coach in Red Wings history until 2014. Adams led the league in scoring with the Millionaires in 1921–22. As of 2023 Jack Adams is the only person to have won the Stanley Cup as a player, coach, and a general manager.
Georges Boucher
Born August 19, 1895 in Ottawa, Canada, was Hockey Hall of Fame Defenseman Georges Boucher. Buck Boucher, as he was known, played for the Ottawa Senators, Montreal Maroons, and Chicago Black Hawks in the National Hockey Association and National Hockey League between 1915 and 1932. His father Tom was a championship-winning Rugby player in Canada during the 1890s and Georges followed in his footsteps as he started his professional athletic career in football as halfback for the Ottawa Rough Riders of the Canadian Football League. After three seasons he turned his attention towards hockey.
Jack Walker Hockey HOF
Born November 29, 1888, in Silver Mountain, Ontario, was Hockey Hall of Fame Forward Jack Walker. Walker skated in early professional hockey for Oakland Sheiks, Hollywood Stars, Seattle Eskimos, Detroit Cougars, Victoria Cougars, Seattle Metropolitans, Moncton Victorias, Toronto Blueshirts, and the Port Arthur Lake City. This legend is one of only 11 pro hockey players since the Stanley Cup's existed to win the trophy with three or more different teams.
Cyclone Taylor
Born June 23, 1884, in Tara, Ontario, was Canadian Hockey Hall of Fame Rover, Cyclone Taylor. God Given name was Frederick Wellington Taylor, His great speed on the ice provided those that played against him and with him to call him Cyclone for his style of play. Taylor played professionally from 1906 to 1922 for several teams, and is most well-known for his time with the Vancouver Millionaires of the Pacific Coast Hockey Association. Cyclone was a part of the Stanley Cup 1909 winning team from Ottawa, and in 1915 with Vancouver. Cyclone was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1947.
Dominik Hasek
Born January 29, 1965 in Pardubice, Czechoslovokia was Hockey Hall of Fame Goalie Dominik Hašek. This legend was a two-time Stanley Cup Champion and six-time NHL All-Star. Hašek had won the Jennings Trophy three times, the Ted Lindsey Pearson Award twice, six Vezina Trophies, and two Harts. He was also a member of the top 100 NHL Greatest Players in 2017. He entered the crease of the Chicago Blackhawks, Buffalo Sabres, Detroit Red Wings, and Ottawa Senators.
Eddie Shore
Born November 25, 1902, in Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan, was Hockey Hall of Fame Defenseman Eddie Shore. This legend was a four-time Hart Award winner and an eight-time NHL All-Star. His Hart Trophies are the most by any defenseman ever and are overshadowed by only Gordie Howe's and Wayne Gretzky's winnings. "The Edmonton Express." was named one of the '100 Greatest NHL Players in history. Shore liked to rough it up on the ice and once set a record of 165 penalty minutes one season.
Denis Potvin
Born October 29, 1953, in Ottawa, Ontario, was Hockey Hall of Fame Defensemen, Denis Potvin. This legend was the number one overall selection in the 1973 NHL Amateur Draft by the New York Islanders. Potvin would go on to have a productive NHL career scoring 310 goals, with 742 assists, and becoming a seven-time All-Star. Denis is also a three-time James Norris Memorial Trophy winner as the NHL's top defenseman. He was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1991.
Johnny Bucyk
Born May 12, 1935, in Edmonton, Alberta, was Hockey Hall of Fame Left Wing Johnny Bucyk. This legend played in the NHL for 23 seasons with both the Detroit Red Wings for a couple of seasons and the majority of his pro hockey tenure as a Boston Bruin. Bucyk was a two-time Lady Byng Award winner, was on two Bruins Stanley Cup Champion teams, was a two-time NHL All-Star, and was one of the top 100 players in the NHL 100 celebration.
Bryan Hextall
Born July 31, 1913, in Grenfell, Saskatchewan, Canada, was Canadian Hockey Hall of Fame Right Wing, Bryan Hextall. This legend was on the roster of the New York Rangers. Hextall was four-time first team NHL All Star. Officially he was named a first-team All-Star three times, and a second-team All-Star once. Bryan is always remembered as the skater that scored the overtime-winning goal that clinched the 1940 Stanley Cup for the Rangers.
Lanny McDonald
Born February 16, 1953, in Hanna, Alberta, was Hockey Hall of Fame Right Wing Lanny McDonald. This legend was a key player on the Calgary Flames' 1989 Stanley Cup championship team. He was a two-time All-Star and a four-time Lady Byng Memorial Trophy winner. Before becoming a Calgary skater, McDonald was on the roster of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Colorado Avalanche.
